Gubns is a marketplace, niche community and resource for architect-makers to connect, collaborate, host workshops and participate in pop-ups and exhibitions. The platform was founded during the pandemic, following a surge in built environment professionals—including architects, engineers, and more—extending their skills to smaller, intimate crafts and experimenting with new materials and mediums.

Championing Architect-Makers
At Gubns, we noticed a surplus of talented designers creating artworks that were left hidden, undiscovered and unavailable to potential buyers. Gubns aims to collect and curate these original creations, bring exposure to its designers and make the artworks accessible to a global audience. We provide support in marketing, customer service, shipping and more, so architect-makers can focus on what they do best: design and make.

Celebrating a Niche Community
The built environment industry is already fairly niche, but the making and crafting trend is steadily on the rise. Combine the two, and we’ve got a sub-group of designers who were trained to think spatially apply their advanced skills, rigour, discipline and understanding of process and materials to other crafts. The result is a fertile ground of incredibly beautiful, well-made, slow-made and handmade, independent and unfiltered objects.
